Our Idea: 

 

The Flighttrain
The Flighttrain is an ultra modern public transport, which shall recoup the underground in Vienna. It‘s faster than the trains we know. Only the passengers who own a ticket, are able to join the Flighttrain. They are absorbed by a tube, which is on the bottom side of the train. Inside the train you have to enter the place you want to leave the Flighttrain in a miniboardcomputer. When the train reaches your destination, the passengers are thrown out. Beforehand you get a parachute which opens automatically after you jumped out.

The Stadtbahn shall be remained as a tourist feature which will be called „Driving Museum“.

Expansion: 2001- 2020
U2:
The planned construction of the U2-extension to the Ernst-Happel-Stadion was finished in 2008. This project is a great improvement for Vienna. Until 2020 the U2 will be extended to Flugfeld Aspern Süd. On 28. September 2006 the stage of construction between Stadion and Aspernstraße started. At the end the U2 will reach till Gudrunstraße.
U1:
Until 2015 the U1 will be extended from Reumannplatz to Rothneusiedl.

Future Expansion after 2020
The following expansions of Vienna‘s underground will be realized after 2020:
1.) Expansion of the U6 from Floridsdorf to Stammersdorf
2.) Construction of U2 to Inzersdorf
3.) Construction of U5
